"Thanks Giving Day 2008"

On the 16th and 17th of June the 10th manifestation Thanks giving day was held at Trznica. Trznica uses this manifestation to thank its tenants and all citizens of Banja Luka, because without them Trznica would not exist.

Every year the champions of the market in several categories are declared. They receive acknowledgements and financial support in order to develop their business even better next year. Also on that day the employees of Trznica welcome their tenants with coffee and drink.

This year very nice cultural program was held for all visitors at three locations. Except cultural program also VIP sale was organized at Nova pijaca. At VIP sale in the role of salesmen were representative of Municipality Milos Komljenovic and representative of Ministry of Commerce Zoran Jesic and the fisrt buyer was director of Trznica Radosav Grbic. All profit of VIP sale was donated to the Children's home. Also the champions in breeding pigs and horses were elected at Nova pijaca.

At Gradska trznica the participants of the program were women’s quire Banjalucanke, children’s quire Vrapcici and pop group Garavi sokak. The mayor of Banja Luka Dragoljub Davidovic and director of Trznica Radosav Grbic welcomed all visitors.

The activity that the most attracts attention of the visitors is cooking of 3000 l of beans. The cooking started on the 16th of June at 05.00 PM and it was finished on 17th of June at 03.00 AM.
